Where to stay
Stay in Realejo or Plaza Nueva for best walkability. Avoid the upper Albayzin for multi-night stays, the cobbled hills are a nightmare with luggage. For splurge, the Parador inside the Alhambra grounds is legendary but books out 6 months ahead. Mid range options: Hotel Casa Morisca, Palacio de Mariana Pineda. Budget: Hotel Navas 1, Granada Five Senses.
Getting around
- Granada city is walkable, most attractions within 20 minutes on foot.
- Red mini-buses (C31, C32, C34, C35) cover the Albayzin and Alhambra hills for 1.40 EUR per ride.
- Taxis are cheap, 6-10 EUR for most city trips.
- Do not drive in the center, most of it is limited traffic zone with fines.

Yes, 3 days is the sweet spot. You cover the Alhambra deeply, the Albayzin and Sacromonte properly, a tapas crawl, a flamenco show, and have one day for a day trip to the Sierra Nevada, Alpujarras or a second relaxed Alhambra visit.
Not for the first 2 days, Granada is walkable and taxis are cheap. For Day 3 if you want to go to the Alpujarras, a rental car (35-50 EUR/day) is useful. Otherwise join a day-trip tour.
The Day 1 morning Nazaries slot is your anchor. Book it 3 months in advance for high season, as soon as you have dates. The rest of the trip adapts around that slot.
