Two different night tickets

The Alhambra sells two different night tickets. They are NOT interchangeable.

  • Night Nazaries Palaces: Access to the three Nazaries palaces only. 10 EUR. Tuesday to Saturday, most of the year.
  • Night Gardens: Access to the Generalife gardens and the upper gardens only. 7 EUR. Select dates, spring and autumn.

What you see on the night Nazaries visit

The same three palaces as in the day: Mexuar, Comares with the Court of the Myrtles, and the Palace of the Lions. Warm, low lighting brings out the stucco work. Fewer visitors, more contemplative. You do NOT see the Alcazaba, the Generalife, or the Palace of Charles V.

Tips for the night visit

  • Arrive at the ticket gate 20 minutes before your slot. Gate closes strictly on time.
  • Wear a light jacket even in summer, the Alhambra is higher and cooler than the city.
  • Combine with dinner in the Albayzin first, then go up to the Alhambra afterwards.
  • For photos, a fast lens (f/1.8 or wider) helps without a tripod.
